Comhairle Ceantar na n-Oileán: Siamsaíocht

There is a proposal under full sail now & a garden beside the Church in Tir an Fhia will become an ornamental amenity for both visitors & local people.

The garden is a rememberance garden for the people of Connemara who have gone before us, but will give an insight, many years from now, into the charachteristics of the people, their traditions, local history & culture.

The local people came together to raise money & do the work themselves. Last year Comhairle Ceantar na nOileán Teo secured a small grant from Galway County Council as well. Holy pictures from the Bible were painted onto the Church along with images of local history & traditions.

An well, castle, place of reflection & lots of other things are available in the garden. A guide book will be available soon as well as a guide during high season.
