Garumna

It is said that Garumna means a place with trees and oaks or head land.  Garumna is the biggest island in the Islands District.  It was Christopher St George who was the landlord in garumna in 1845, and it was Sinead Ní Sheachnasaigh who was his agent and they lived where the Garda Barracks are now in Lettermore.
